Here’s What’s Involved

Media training is important to advancing the key messaging and agenda of every professional and trade association. At the same time, members recognize the value of being on top of their game when it comes to media interviewing for their own firms.

We’ve developed a remote media training program designed to help you and in the end, your organization.

Individual Sessions (45 minutes each)

Individual sessions can be provided, though it is recommend that participants go through “Media Interview Preparation” before taking “Controlling Your Message, Influencing the Story.”

Format

Individual and Group Webinars/Lecture Style – The general format is the common webinar style of lecture, using Powerpoint slides as a guide and discussion with time allotted for Q&A. Up to 30 participants can be accommodated per session.

Individual and Group Webinars/Customized – This format starts with the common webinar style of lecture, using Powerpoint slides, but may include scenarios and discussion around industry-specific issues for attendees. There may be more time allotted for discussion and general in-webinar exercises. It is recommended that no more than 10 participants be registered for each session to maximize the value and time for those participating.

Custom Media Training – This format starts with the common webinar style of lecture, using Powerpoint slides, and will include scenarios and discussion around industry-specific issues for attendees. Time will be allotted for Q&A, participatory activities may include and a certain amount of role-playing exercises. It is recommended that no more than three participants be registered to maximize the value and time for those participating. Since sessions are customized, O’Brien Communications will conduct pre-session interviews in order to develop a scope of work to determine the required subject matter to be covered and the ideal length of the session.

Following media training programs, O’Brien Communications can be available for consultation according to pre-arranged terms and agreements.
